I was looking for new ideas for quick workouts that would change up my routine and are feasible to squeeze into my day = no excuses. Most of these exercises do not include weights, again, no excuses LOL.
I just used a mason jar, sharpie, and a tin can (for my “done/finished” pile). I found some ideas on the internet and made up some of my own:
- Crunches – 20, 30, 40
- Push-Ups – 10, 15, 20
- Planks – 30sec, 45sec, 60sec
- Scissor Kicks – 20, 40
- Calf Raises – 20, 40
- Russian Twists – 20, 30
- Should Tap Press – 10, 20
- Inclined Push-Ups – 10, 15
- Declined Push-Ups – 10, 15
- High-to-Tricep Plank – 15, 30
- Lunges – 20, 30, 40
- Skaters – 20, 30
- Calf Raises – 20, 40
- Mountain Climbers – 20, 30 40
- Fire Hydrants – 20, 30
- Donkey Kicks – 15, 25
- Lunge Kicks – 20, 30
- Squats – 20, 30
- Bridge Lifts – 20, 30, 40
- Chataranga – 10
- Plank Hip Touches – 15, 30
- Triangle Leg Raises – 10, 20
- Jumping Jacks – 25, 50
- High Knees – 20sec, 30sec
- Tricep Dips – 10, 20
I also made a Cardio Jar as well:
- Dealer’s Choice – 20mins, 30mins, 40mins
- Jog – 1, 2 miles; 20mins
- Hills – 20mins, 30mins; 4 miles
- Speed Walk – 20mins, 30mins, 40mins
- Incline Walk – 30mins, 40mins
- Jog 1 mile + Walk 1 mile
- Cycle – 20mins, 30mins; 2mins base pace + 1 min standing
So far, I definitely use the strength portion of this work out every day no matter how pressed for time I am. And then, when I have more time, I add the cardio portion.
Hope this gives you some new ideas for workouts expression with the New Year around the corner.
Cute idea!
